Wednesday evening Disc Golf at Bunker Hill and a winner in the 2007 Bunker Hill Summer Series Tournament

Got to Rob's Bunker Hill private Disc Golf Course just before 6:15 PM for the third and final leg of the Summer Series Tournament. This event was played one day in June, July , and August. Cubby and Don were tied after the June and July portions of the event so today's finish would promise to be a close finish. Rob and Ken rounded out the final foursome for today.

After the first round on the Hole 12 layout Don won and Cubby came in Second. So Don got 5 points and Cubby got 3 poins. Don up by 2. After the second round on the Hole 12 layout Cubby won and Don and Ken tied for Second. So Cubby got 5 points and Don and Ken got 3 points. Cubby and Don tied for the Series.

We took a break and grilled some Burgers and Dogs. Don showed us 5 Liter Heineken Keg that was chilled on Ice. So we ate and Cubby who does not drink decided to join in on the Heineken.

With the 5 liters gone it was dark and time for the Night portion of Disc Golf. I figured I would be at a disadvantage because I have never played Disc Golf after drinking. So I tee'd off first on the Night Disc Golf 4 hole layout (winner getting to 10 under first). My tee shot was bad to the left. My long second shot in the dark found the chains and I got the duece, so much for the effects of the Heineken on my game.

Cubby won the first round of Night Disc Golf and Don came in second. Cubby got 3 points for the win and Don got 1 point for second. Cubby up by 2 points in the Series.

Ken won the second round of Night Disc Golf and Cubby came in second. Ken got 3 points and Cubby got 1 point. So Cubby won the first Bunker Hill Summer Series Disc Golf Tournament by 3 points over Don coming in Second Place. It was a great series and as always Don can be counted on for some great shots and a competitive spirit that makes our rounds so fun to play. Don always pushes my game and playing against him makes me a better Disc Golf. Thanks Don! Truth be told, Don is a better Disc Golfer than Cubby. It was great throwing with Rob and Ken and a sepcial thanks to Rob for hosting this fun Series. I am honored to be the 2007 Bunker Hill Summer Series Champ.

Rob donated a ROC for a CTP that Don won. Don donated a Soft Aviar Putter as a CTP that Cubby won.
