Cubby's Disc Golf Parody Pictures

Check out the pictures I posted at the link below. Some of you may remember these pics when I posted some as early as 1998 on the Newport News Disc Golf Page and also on the Yahoo NJDISCDEVIL message board a few years ago or you may have seen them floating around on the internet posted by others.

Friday Disc Golf at Manalapan

Big John came by the store to visit and we headed to the Manalapan Recreation Center Disc Golf Course for a quick round during lunch.

A major park construction project (adding new ball fields to the many already existing ball fields) and most likely under considerable expense has resulted in the loss of Hole 7 and destruction of the basket during it's removal from the ground. So sad. Must have been too hard for someone to figure out to ask for the key and unlock the pole from the sleeve to remove the pole and then dig up the sleeve and surronding cement.

In honor of the departed hole 7, here is a video of the only Ace on Hole 7. The trees have all been removed and the ridge leveled. A moment of silence please for the loss of hole 7.

Thursday Disc Golf at Bunker Hill

After work I headed to Rob's private Bunker Hill Disc Golf Course for some rounds. I got my 280th Ace on Hole 9 on the short course layout. This was the first Ace on my home made Disc Golf Target called the Defender and the first Video Ace at Bunker Hill.

Tuesday Disc Golf - Big John Day

It's been a long time since Big john and I went on a road trip to play a bunch of courses. Here we are in Philadelphia to start the day. We played two rounds before heading to the next course. Check out Big John's shirt. I got a good laugh out of that shirt. Big John got his 12th Ace on the 6th hole of play. His first skip ace. Nice shot Big john! Time for me to get a shirt too saying: I know Big John.

Here we are at South Vineland Park. Big John strikes a pose showing the back of his shirt with the HOF (1) short for 1st person inducted into the Cubby's Disc Golf World Hall of Fame. We got in two rounds and headed to the next course.

Here we are at Landis park in Vineland. We played one round and headed to Rob's to finish out the day.

Here we are with Rob at his private Bunker Hill Disc Golf Course. We now have an 18 Hole layout. I came up with the back 9 and we tested it out on Monday and played it again on Tuesday.

Thanks to Big John (HOF1) and Rob (HOF2) for a fun day of Disc Golf.

Monday Disc Golf at Bunker Hill Disc Golf Course

Headed up to Rob's course after work for some rounds of Disc Golf. Rob and Cubby strike a pose on Disc Golf Drive.

Rob presented me with a Tag for my 250th Ace.

Pictures taken at Bunker Hill today:

I showed Rob my idea to complete an 18 Hole lay out course. We played it a couple of times and it flowed well and was fun to play. Thanks Rob for another great day of Disc Golf at Bunker Hill.

He's back!!!!!!!!!!

What do you do when it's been 15 days since you last played Disc Golf (I believe the longest stretch I have not played in over 9 years), you have the Flu, worked a long day and it is raining cats and dogs, and you only have a light weight pair of pants, shirt sleeve shirt, and a sweat shirt to protect you from the cold and the rain? You go home and rest.....Wrong, You play Disc Golf. It was raining so hard I had to take a picture inside the car. I was soaking wet after 2 hours and shivering all the way home. This Flu therapy is not recommended for anyone, but for me it was some good medicine!

And in other non Disc Golf news. Here is a picture of Heather a sweet Yorkie. It was Mom's last wish to get this dog. Heather has certainly helped in the healing process and she is a special dog. I hope to get her out on the course soon.

Cubby gets T-boned on the road

Cubby's car

Other driver's Car

This is not Disc Golf related but thought I would pass on some Cubby news for those inquiring blog followers. I was driving to work today and someone blindly floored it between a row of stopped vehicles in the opposing lane of my direction of travel and i was hit broadside into the driver side of my car. The left side of my head is sore from the impact but I am ok otherwise. So the Cubby mobile is out of service for a while. I am driving Dad's back-up Caddy. I will post pictures in the near future. Not sure when I will be out on the course next. I hope it is soon as I have not played since 20 Feb.

Overhead view of accident

5 May Update: My car is totaled. Waiting for the check. The other driver went to court and plead to a lessor offense resulting in a $450 dollar fine. My car gets totaled and the town makes the money on the deal, what a country!
