New Video of Aces by Jeff Scott and Cubby on February 20, 2008.

Check out the 20 February Blog entry. I added two videos that were taken by Jeff Scott on his visit to NYC and stop over to New Jersey for Disc Golf with Cubby. The videos are titled "Jeff's 1st and 2nd Ace Video", and "Cubby's 279th Ace Video".

A Luner Eclipse and Night Disc Golf with Jeff Scott plus Cubby Ace School in session and one heck of a graduation ceremony. The Ribs were good too!

Headed to the Rutgers Disc Golf Course while waiting for Jeff Scott to arrive from New York City on the train. Jeff is the owner of Playhard, Inc. His Disc Golf light attaches to any disc and is another lighting option from the Flashflight line of light up flying discs.

I got my 278th Ace. This Ace is dedicated to Danny Martin of the UK. Danny is a loyal follower of the Blog. Thanks Danny to you and all the other loyal followers of the blog around the globe.

I picked Jeff up at the New Brunswick Train Station and then it was off to some rounds of Night Disc Golf. We played two rounds with his really cool Disc Golf lights called the "Hole In One" light. Before the night was over some of those lights attached to discs found their way to Ace.

Jeff puts a Lid near Hole 7's basket.

After the rounds we decided to get some night video of the Hole In One lights being thrown at Hole 9's basket. I let Jeff toss his discs with the camera rolling. We called it Cubby's Ace School.

I was giving Jeff some pointers on throwing the Ace shot. Jeff was doing great getting closer and closer and at 8:21 PM he hit his first career Ace! And wouldn't you know it he followed that with his next throw seconds later with another Ace, his second Ace! It was really cool to see the back to back Aces thrown in the same minute.

Two Aces in the same minute. Nice Jeff!

Jeff wanted me to throw at Hole 9's basket but after seeing his two awesome shots I declined. I finally said what the heck and headed to the tee and told Jeff I would throw the 8 discs in my bag and on the second throw I hit a skip shot for the ace at 8:38 PM.

All three Ace shots were thrown during the night of the Lunar Eclipse. Jeff graduated from the Cubby Ace School with honors and the Instructor shined as well.

To celebrate the great Night of Disc Golf we headed to Famous Daves for a Rib fest. Thanks Jeff, next year the Ribs are on me.

I'll add some video of our Ace shots at a later date when I get the footage from Jeff. I will also give you a report on Jeff's products during my next Blog update.

It was a real pleasure meeting Jeff and having a great Disc Golf time with him. Thanks Jeff and welcome to Cubby's Disc Golf World.

Monday Disc Golf at Rutgers and 3 Aces

Headed up to Rutgers after work for some Disc Golf. I got my 275th, 276th, and 277th Aces. The first was an air ace (up the gut shot), the second was a righty skip ace, and the third was a lefty skip ace. It was 22 degrees out and wind 20-30 mph. Can you say it's chilly outside. Ground was frozen solid making for some really nice skip shots all over the course. Lots of students out on the campus. I had students watch all three shots. They thought it was cool.

CDGW Hall of Fame Honors

Robert Zurflah has been inducted into the Cubby's Disc Golf World Hall of Fame. Robert has been a key supporter of Cubby's Disc Golf adventures for many years. He challenged Cubby back in August of 2005 with a special bag tag for achieving 50 career Disc Golf Aces before the end of that year. This challenge sparked an incredible run of Disc Golf Aces by Cubby during 2005, 2006, and 2007. Rob also presented Cubby with a special bag for his 100th Ace. Rob honored Cubby by installing Cubby's original Disc Golf Target called the Defender at Rob's private Bunker Hill Disc Golf Course on the Cubby Hole. Rob is an avid supporter of Cubby's Disc Golf play. Rob has hosted many special Disc Golf tournaments and events at his course promoting Disc Golf at his own personal expense. Rob has a great attitude and a spirit that is inspirational and exemplifies all the qualities that Cubby looks for in a great Disc Golfer. It is with great pride and honor that Rob is inducted as the second member of Cubby's Disc Golf World Hall of Fame. Congrats Rob and thanks for all you do for Cubby's Disc Golf game. Rob joins Big John Mazur in Cubby's Disc Golf World Hall of Fame. Big John was inducted in 2006.

100 Holes of Disc Golf at the Bunker Hill Disc Golf Course

Headed to Rob's house in he early afternoon for some rounds of Disc Golf. We played 11 rounds of Disc Golf on Rob's 9 hole short course layout and one extra hole to complete 100. I hit 6 metal on drives, Rob hit 3 metal. It was a windy day. I took some pictures of the Cubby Hole (The Defender Target) posted below.

Cubby on PBS Television

Tuesday 5 Febuary at 6:30 PM you can see a 3-4 second clip of a Cubby YOUTUBE video on the "Nightly Business Report". Check your local listings.

Here is the link thanks to Jason: http://www.pbs.org/nbr/info/video.html

The clip is at 20 minutes and 34 seconds into the program. It is of me at the basket after my 216th Ace.

Thanks to fellow Disc Golfer Shawn the Editor of the Nightly Business Report for using a video clip of me in the piece.

You may recall Shawn won a Millenium QMS from me for answering a Cubby Disc Golf Trivia question prior to the blogs existence when I used to post on the Jersey Disc Devil Yahoo forum.
