Tuesday Disc Golf, Cubby Aces in strong winds.

Headed up to Manalapan Recreation Center Disc Golf Course to play some rounds with Big John. I got my 153rd Ace on Hole 9 on a cold and very windy day. Big john just missed holding the chains on a drive and I was a couple of inches low on another basket. It was an adventure in the wind.

Cubby, glad to see you guys playing so much. I get out occasionally on the spur of the moment. I can't believe you gave up your main putter! I'll try to hook up with you soon, if not right away, hope to see you New Year's Day for Sedgley's 30th annual! Don

Don, Great to hear from you. I hope the family is doing well. The little ones must be getting big. It's been a while since I had the pleasure of throwing some rounds with you. We have thrown some memorable rounds together. Looking forward to seeing you in Philadelphia, I beleive this will be my 9th year in a row of starting out the New year with a round of Disc Golf in Philly. Looing forward to Big Dog's Chili! You have my cell phone number, I am always available Tuesdays and Sundays and most nights to play at Rutgers.

Cubby, once the kids and me are over our colds, I'm giving you a call! Andrew is old enough to ride in the jog stroller now, but I don't want to take the kids if it's too chilly. I'm hoping to make Philly on New Year's, Tyler on the 6th, and Rob, I'd like to make your course on your birthday too! Don

I think Cubby and I are going to play from 9:00 or 10:00 am until maybe 2:00 or 3:00 pm.

My Mach II basket, which is used on three of the holes continues to laugh at us....cause we hit it a few times, but the disc doesn't want to go in. And you can ace it - theoretically - on all three holes.

Hey Cubby, nice ace. Please do not write on the baskets anymore. Looks like graffitti. What's deal with Ocean County Park.

Thanks Matt, I usually don't mark on the baskets. Only two I have done that on, the basket that I broke when I Ace'd at Dunham and what Big John and I thought was the first Ace at Manalapan, and the small comments were on the inside band, barely noticable. As much as I love Innova, the biggest problems the baskets at Manalapan will face is rust.

BTW, Nice job on Manalapan, good mix of lefty and righty holes and the short holes are tricky due to the tree placements. Keep up the good work Matt.

As for Ocean County, no new news. I need to check with the guy that submitted the proposal for a course in the park.

Nice to see the PDGA State Coordinator and a Disc Golfer of your caliber checking out the blog.

Say hi to your broyther for me.

Thanks Cubby, you must not be far from Manalapan. Keep pushing for Ocean County Park, it's a great venue for disc golf and with courses going in Mommouth County it's a natural progression.
