Cubby for President in 2008
Today I annouce my candidacy for the Presidency of the United States of America. My platform is More Disc Golf! So if you want more Disc Golf vote for me. I won't be on any state ballots so the only way to vote for me is to write my name in on election day. A vote for Cubby is a vote for more Disc Golf! More Disc Golf is a promise I can deliver.
This post was edited to take the politics out of the politics. My constituency reminded me to keep my focus on Disc Golf. I agree.

I say Let's buy a few hundred acres in Greenland and Build a DG Course....I hear the land is pretty cheap right now.....
Damn Cubby , why'd you have to go and post a dumb American log like that?
I have been an avid follower of your blog for over a year now from Leeds, England...and have previously loved all your disc golf shennanigans. So why did you have to bring a major world issue into your beautiful blog and then make it into a ignorant half arsed post.
Stick to the disc golf mate, something which you are very informed and entertaining at reporting on. Global warming is a serious issue and not something to be made into satire.
Peace
out
Danny
Danny, Thanks for your continued following of the blog. I am glad that you enjoy the Disc Golf content. I certainly did not intend to offend you or anyone with the light hearted run for the presidency. As for Global Warming, I'll leave it to the experts and professionals to figure out the cause(s) and solutions. I had to use some platform and tie it to Disc Golf. And as all Disc Golfers know warmer weather means more Disc Golf. Enough about World issues and politics, get out and play more Disc Golf!
In the future Danny, I will try to refrain from putting things in the blog that may be offensive to other's and are a strech to tie to my Disc Golf exploits.
When I said "Global Warming means more Disc Golf", what I was saying is "Don't worry be happy". Too much worrying and not enough happiness out there. I vote for happy. So go out there people and be happy!! I'm happy, I ust got back from playing Disc Golf :)
Peace be with you my friend.
After much reflection I have edited my original post to remove the Global Warming reference and have inserted a more appropriate Disc Golf campaign theme. And I didn't even have to hire a pollster to do the right thing ;)
You Cubby, are a Gentleman and a scholar.
I wasnt trying to silence your freedom of speech, only to ask you consider that not all will see global warming as something to make light of.
Sadly here in the good ole UK, Global warming has certainly not meant warmer weather. This year has been one of the coldest and wettest on record and we have suffered major damage from unsually high wind and blanket flooding.
I do understand you are trying to put a positive spin on the whole issue, and I myself am a serial optimist so I can empathise wholly with your stance in that regard.
Take care, if I ever make it your way on one of my trips to the US I will be sure to track you down and enjoy a game of disc golf at some insane time of the day, as your legacy dictates!
Bless ya mate
Danny
Danny, Sorry to hear about the terrible weather that his hit the UK. I love the UK and enjoyed my visit to Portsmouth during the summer of 1996, when I was stationed on the USS John F. Kennedy (CV-67).
I look forward to throwing some rounds with you someday my friend. Please keep in touch.
Warm regards, Cubby
