Monday morning Night Disc Golf at Rutgers

Cubby wearing an Ergophobia T-shirt.

Headed up to Rutgers for some Night Disc Golf after I closed the store after midnight on Monday. I got my 385th and 386th Aces with a pair of Axe Night Disc Golf Discs from Black Jax Sports. And to think I was going to go home and get some sleep.

Hello, Having played the game since 1974, I have had my share of aces. Not one that I can remember was ever caught on film. (seven this year,3 with the same disc on the same hole) Several of us at our local park have seen them and talked about them. What we really want to know is this! Are all of these aces shot during a tournament, Sunday handicap, Wed. nite doubles? Or do you just take fifty (50) discs in a bag to a short hole and keep shooting them until one stays in? Just curious.

Thanks Brad!

Great shootin Mr. Ed!

PDGA554, Congrats as an early pioneer in the sport, I assume 554 is your PDGA number.

As for me, I am here on the internet for one reason, to share my passion for the sport of Disc Golf with like minded peole or those that my want to try out the sport. My videos stand on their own merit. What other disc golfers believe or don't believe with regard to my Aces is not up to me. I have had lots of positive feedback from around the world that tells me that my promotion of Disc Golf is good for the sport. Of my 386 Aces, 1/3 are Skip Aces and 30 are Lefty Aces. Over 60 are on video (try to find a pile of discs near the hole on any of them). I work 6 days a week half the year putting in lots of hours and I give up lots of sleep to play Disc Golf. I play about 150 days a year most of it in the dark.

I'll pose a question, Can't someone just be gifted when it comes to hitting Aces, as others can be gifted in other areas of Disc Golf or other sports or activities. Would I rather be gifted as holding the World Record Distance Drive or being a Disc Golf World Champion, absolutely, but I'm happy to have what ever gifts I bring to bear in Disc Golf. I consider my achievements no more than Performance Art.

Have fun out on the course and say hi to your friends. While I am honored that I would be the topic of discussion on some courses, I would hope that everyones DISCussion is better focused on ways to promote the sport as I am doing all I can in that regard.

Part of the Cubby mystique is how does he do it??? :)

I would direct folks to the links section of my blog under the heading of "My secret to playing better Disc Golf" if folks want to know what I did to take my game to a new zone of perforamnce.

Keep in touch, Cubby
