A Luner Eclipse and Night Disc Golf with Jeff Scott plus Cubby Ace School in session and one heck of a graduation ceremony. The Ribs were good too!

Headed to the Rutgers Disc Golf Course while waiting for Jeff Scott to arrive from New York City on the train. Jeff is the owner of Playhard, Inc. His Disc Golf light attaches to any disc and is another lighting option from the Flashflight line of light up flying discs.

I got my 278th Ace. This Ace is dedicated to Danny Martin of the UK. Danny is a loyal follower of the Blog. Thanks Danny to you and all the other loyal followers of the blog around the globe.

I picked Jeff up at the New Brunswick Train Station and then it was off to some rounds of Night Disc Golf. We played two rounds with his really cool Disc Golf lights called the "Hole In One" light. Before the night was over some of those lights attached to discs found their way to Ace.

Jeff puts a Lid near Hole 7's basket.

After the rounds we decided to get some night video of the Hole In One lights being thrown at Hole 9's basket. I let Jeff toss his discs with the camera rolling. We called it Cubby's Ace School.

I was giving Jeff some pointers on throwing the Ace shot. Jeff was doing great getting closer and closer and at 8:21 PM he hit his first career Ace! And wouldn't you know it he followed that with his next throw seconds later with another Ace, his second Ace! It was really cool to see the back to back Aces thrown in the same minute.

Two Aces in the same minute. Nice Jeff!

Jeff wanted me to throw at Hole 9's basket but after seeing his two awesome shots I declined. I finally said what the heck and headed to the tee and told Jeff I would throw the 8 discs in my bag and on the second throw I hit a skip shot for the ace at 8:38 PM.

All three Ace shots were thrown during the night of the Lunar Eclipse. Jeff graduated from the Cubby Ace School with honors and the Instructor shined as well.

To celebrate the great Night of Disc Golf we headed to Famous Daves for a Rib fest. Thanks Jeff, next year the Ribs are on me.

I'll add some video of our Ace shots at a later date when I get the footage from Jeff. I will also give you a report on Jeff's products during my next Blog update.

It was a real pleasure meeting Jeff and having a great Disc Golf time with him. Thanks Jeff and welcome to Cubby's Disc Golf World.

Crickey Cubby, whats his beef? Is the Disc Golf world really this hate fueled?

If I were you, I wouldn't take flaming or any other negative comments seriously from someone who can neither spell, use punctuation or structure a flame message in a way to make it vaguely readable.

On a positive note, I shared this ace video with my friends on facebook - One of them changed his status update to "Duncan Winn is well impressed with Carl Cubbedge!" - Your legacy and fan-club grow my friend !

Peace
D

To Bustercanfly: I am sorry your post was not private but I deleted it as soon as I read it. All is well with you and me and I hope we get to throw some rounds in the future.

Danny, Thanks for the kind words and update. For you info, I have the ability to see where people surf in from on the Web to get to my blog. Sometimes I will find myself being trashed in various forums and for the most part I ignore the banter. When I see friends that I know and others that I don't know sticking up for me and they get grief over it, then I will say something to the indivdual. The post you saw meant by the orgiginator to be private to me as an apology for some things he said in another forum. I should know better but was equally unkind in my response to him in the forum.

Fair play, I'm just confused to why anyone would want to trash talk you !? You been a bad man in a previous life ??!!

Anyway, I too, am guilty of comment "snapping" and therefore retract my above message criticising Bustercanfly's post.....I don't him or the situation and thus should not have judged.

Peace out, Y'all (Check my American lingo out !)
Danny

Hey Cubby,

I met a someone from the UK on a boat in Antarctica this past December and got him interested in DG. He works for a rather large software manufacturer and had to come to Seattle for a conference or training session so he looked me up. I took him out to the local course and played a round with him and he's planning on checking out the courses in England. I posted a Cubby style picture at flickr.com/photos/edgepix
