Halloween Disc Golf at Manalapan

Got up early and had my vehicle inspected. I called Miguel and we headed to Manalapan for some rounds of Disc Golf before work. Miguel came in costume. I should have done the same.

2007 Jersey Jam Disc Golf Tournament (Disc Golf Monthy Coverage including Cubby)

With my job I don't get to play in many tournaments, however I try not to miss the Jersey Jam. Disc Golf Monthly videotaped much of the event (August 11, 2007) and featured the Advanced Masters during our final round. Check out the coverage in the 4 clips below and see Cubby in action. Monday Night / Tuesday Morning Disc Golf at Rutgers

Headed up to Rutgers after work on Monday for some Disc Golf with Karl. We got in lots of rounds. I got my 248th and 249th Ace.

Sunday Morning Disc Golf at Bunker Hill

Cubby, Don, Rob, and Max.

Headed up to Rob's private Bunker Hill Disc Golf Course in Cranbury, NJ for some rounds of Disc Golf. Played 3 rounds of 12 Holes with Don, Rob, and Max on a cool and windy day. Rob did a great job of decorating the course for Halloween. After DG I went to work.

Tuesday Night Disc Golf at Manalapan

Headed to Manalapan Recreation Center Disc Golf after work. Arrived at the course at 6:30PM and I played until 9:30PM.

Monday Night / Tuesday Morning Disc Golf at Rutgers

Headed up to Rutgers Disc Golf Course after work and arrived at the course at 8PM.

Chris joined me for some rounds at 10PM.

Dennis joined us for some rounds at 11PM. Chris stayed until 2AM and Dennis and I played until 5:30AM.

Sunday Morning Disc Golf at Tyler State Park DGC

Headed up to Newtown, PA to meet Big John for an 8AM start at Tyler for the Winter League weekly round. we got to throw the round with Steve "The Canadian" and Jerry. I had to head to work after the round. Steve came to the Jersey Shore later in the day and visited me at work. I did not play well today. I am blaming it on my shoes. I forgot to put my DG shoes on for the round. Congrats to Steve for leading our group by a stroke ahead of me and Big John a stroke behind me.

Friday Night / Saturday Morning Disc Golf at Rutgers

Headed up to Rutgers on Friday Night to play some Night Disc Golf. We arrived on the course before midnight and played until 4:30 AM. The course was wet from the rain. No Aces, but Big John hit the basket on hole 9 and I chained out on a skip shot on Hole 1.

Cubby's Disc Golf World Museum

Well I finally took all of the stacks of my ACE discs and moved them into their own room, the Cubby's Disc Golf World Museum. The above picture shows the first 99 discs hanging on the wall. Once I get the room finished I will post more pics. Some of the CDGW memorabilia will include the tee sign from the hole of my first Ace and the Mach II New Disc Golf Pole Hole I won during the CTP contest at the 2002 PDGA AM Worlds in Miami, FL. The basket was donated by Steady Ed, his last worlds. Tour of the museum will be by appointment only :)

Monday Night / Tuesday Morning Disc Golf at Manalapan and Rutgers and five Skip Aces!!!!!

I was solo at work today so when it was time to close I was ready for some Disc Golf. Headed to Manalapan Recreation Center Disc Golf Course to play before the sun went down. I got my 243rd (Righty Skip) Ace, and my 244th (Lefty Skip) Ace.

After playing at Manalapan, I headed up to Rutgers Disc Golf Course for some Night Disc Golf rounds. I got my 245th and 246th Ace.

Cubby, Dave, and Joey

Ran into Dave and Joey just before Midnight. Joey mentioned that he has checked out the Blog. I joined them for 5 holes. I gave them a light stick for their drivers and let them now where to purchase the light sticks. Looking forward to throwing some rounds with them in the future.

After Dave and Joey left I continued playing. Got my 247th Ace. That is five Skip Aces on this Disc Golf trip. I could have played on but I have to work in the morning. Got to get a little bit of sleep and let my back recover. Sleep has to wait for the Blog to be updated and now it is so I am off to bed.

Saturday Night / Sunday Morning Disc Golf at Rutgers and two Skip Aces

Headed up to Rutgers Disc Golf Course for some rounds after work on Saturday Night. Got my 241st and 242nd Aces. Two nice Skip Aces. I also chained out on a lefty skip shot on Hole 7. Although I have Ace'd on consecutive holes before, I think this is the first time I have Skip Ace'd on consecutive holes. Finished playing at 2 AM on Sunday and headed home. It's starting to get cold at night, I have to remember to pack some sweat pants in the car for Night Disc Golf.

Wednesday Disc Golf at Rutgers

Headed up to Rutgers for some Disc Golf with Big John. It was a cool day and the course was wet from the rain last night.

Rob Z. stopped by during his lunch break to say hello and give Big John a 2008 Bunker Hill Tag.


Don showed up with Melanie and Andrew for some rounds. Here Don and Big John try to get me out of my usual position for the customary photo.

Chris L. joined us during one of our rounds before joining up with Spook Handy once he got to the course.

Big John and Don headed out before dark. I played on into the night. I got my 240th Ace, a nice Skip Ace on Hole 1. I left the course at 9:40 PM and headed home.

Thursday Disc Golf at Manalapan and Rutgers

Headed up to Manalapan after lunch on Thursday for some rounds of Disc Golf.



Miguel called me in the afternoon while I was on the course and later joined me for some rounds. Miguel headed home for Dinner and I got my 237th and 238th Aces. After it got dark I headed home.

On the way home I got a call from Don and I diverted to Rutgers for more Disc Golf.


Chris joined us for more Disc Golf.

I got home at 3:30AM and was at work at 9:30AM. My back was killing me after a long day of disc Golf, and I had trouble falling a sleep from the pain. I am feeling much better now after some sleep.

Tuesday Disc Golf at Manalapan and Rutgers and the consecutive Skip Ace streak ends at 7 in a row

Headed up to Manalapan Recreation Center Disc Golf Course on Tuesday afternoon for some rounds of Disc Golf on one of my days off. I got my 236th and 237th Aces. Hole 7 is totally changed as they removed all of the trees between the tee and the hole. This was done just before I arrived at the course. This hole used to be very heavily gaurded by the trees and an Ace was near impossible, now it is definately possible.

Once it got dark I left Manalapan and ate Dinner on the way to Rutgers Disc Golf Course. I got in a couple of rounds then headed home. Work tomorrow and maybe off again on Thursday.
